what frugal things would you keep doing? Which frugal things would you stop doing or indulgences would you start doing that you don't allow yourself now? What about 100,000 more? What types of frugality do you personally think would be worth it to you with a significantly higher income and what wouldn't be worth it?

I would still shop for bargains, but I would buy more meat!

I would still live the same, except I'd buy a car, and my school debts would be paid off. I'd still check the flyers and use coupons to get the best possible price on everything. I would still bike around town when the weather is nice to save wear and tear on the car.

Live exactly the same way and clip my coupons. Maybe eat out more.

We would pay off dh's tahoe-I would make him drive it still for a few more years. Pay off any other debt that we have-our bedroom furniture, student loans. I would go to college and not have to take out any loans. Save up and buy some land, later build a house. Save up and go on a vacation. I would still be frugal. I would probably still stock pile.
Indulgences-massage now and than, pedicures. silly stuff like that.

I think our day to day life would stay pretty much the same although I would have to reign in DH from impulse buying (especially anything electronic).

We would first use the extra money to pay off the mini-van we just bought (didn't finance too much but it is still another monthly payment for a while). With an extra $50,000 that would easily be paid off in less than a year. Then I think we would take the extra each month and split it between investing for retirement and a college fund (two things that just aren't being saved for at the moment), paying down the mortgage and our student loans (the only debt other than the car payment), and saving up for a vacation.

We'd probably eat out a bit more too but we're really trying to be better about that so I'd want to stick with eating at home because once we let go in that area we seem to have a hard time coming back!

We probably wouldn't change much other than eat out more. I also wouldn't stress over the grocery shopping quite so much. We would also use the money for travel/vacations. That's about it.

It is amazing but I think the more you earn the more you spend.

DH and I were looking at our past tax returns from our years of marriage. IN the 13 years we have been married we now make 4 times what we made the first year. I don't think we are any different and I know that I just spent too much then and I still spend too much now. (Well until recently when I decided to adopt the frugal lifestyle.)

What would I get with that extra money -- I would get a maid, a landscaping service, and take way better vacations. I would put a pool in my backyard and purchase the camper I have been wanting. (After I properly saved for it all to pay cash!!)

I would spend it and I would save it.

Same as I do now.
