Currently, we have two "new to us" cars. Though I have owned a brand new one in my life ... of course my parents paid for it, so I don't know if that counts. Never say never, of course, but I don't expect to ever buy a brand new car again.

What about you?

In my previous life (before this marriage) I had 5 new vehicles (Plymouth Laser, Dodge Neon, Jeep Cherokee, Jeep Wrangler and Nissan Xterra). There were various reasons why I changed my vehicles like undies but lets just go with I had poor money management skills.

In my current life, we've only bought used vehicles. We have only financed one of them which is now paid for.

I've bought used, then new, and NEVER will get new again. We are somewhat looking for a used vehicle to buy, with cash only though. We do not wish to have car payments any more.

I've only ever bought used cars with cash 93 times). Dh had bought a new car before we were engaged/married and after paying that off for the first 1 1/2-2 years of our marriage I hope not to have any car payments for a new car again.

The two most recent cars we've bought have been used. Our older car was bought brand new. Prior to those, most were used (we've had one other brand new car).

The two we have now were bought new. I've had 3 previous vehicles before and 2 were new and 1 was used.

I had a used car in highschool/college. I got another used car as a college graduation gift. When I got my job at EDS, I got an employee discount for GM cars, including their pep cars, so I bought several pep cars at a big discount (these would have around 3000 miles on them). So they were essentially new. My current car is a Honda, which I bought new. DH leased 3 GM cars in a row when his car died unexpectedly & we didn't have $$ for a downpayment. Finally got out of the lease cycle & bought his Honda new. Mine has been paid off for 18 months. His will be paid off next year. Plan to drive these until they die.
