What's your back to school budget per kid? Including all school supplies and any new school clothes, class fees, tuition, home school / supplementary supplies?

School Supplies- About $25-$30 per kid(that includes the extra's that the classroom needs-Kleenex, Paper Towels, etc.and a new backpack for DS, since his was trashed.)
School Clothes- About $70 per kids-Both needed new jeans and we got a good deal at Old Navy for them. This includes new underclothes and socks too. Provided they don't grow like weeds, this should last them all school year.
There will be classroom fees throughout the year-field trips, etc. so I'm not sure what that will run. We also put $50 into each kids lunch account, for the days that they want to eat at school.
So, adding that up, it's about $150 per kid as of now.
Is this way out of the ballpark?

I don't think that is much at all, I think you are doing good!
I don't have a budget, I really can't even try to add up what I spend b/c I buy all year round since we don't go on a school schedule.
I will say that for homeschooling expenses I have set aside 1,000 per child per year (this includes curriculum, books, field trips, classes, sports, etc). But I have yet to spend this much. However I know as they grow older their curriculum will cost much more (like $250 Chemistry classes) so I just have it in my mind now that is how much I want to stay around. I do know a lot of homeschoolers that spend WAY less than this, in fact many use completely free resources, but luckily we are able to budget this amount and owning our own supplies, books and extra-curricular activities are important to me. I just look at it as how much would I be paying for a private school?! Here they are over 10K-25K per year per child, so to me 1K each is nothing, especially since I can reuse most of it with the next children.

So far I have spent about $250 for all three kids. This has included new uniforms, lunchboxes, Stainless steel water bottles, and supplies for all three kids. I still have to buy shoes and socks for all three but hopefully that won't cost much more than another $50 or so.

We don't have a set budget. We just spend what needs to be spent. My boys will not cost much at all. There school fee is $25 and that includes all supplies and school t shirt. I will probably start with $20 in each kids lunch account. They don't need clothes. I bought my Kindergartener some socks $5 and my 3rd grader some underwear $5. So a max of $50 there each (4 of them). My dd will be in the 10th grade. Maybe $10 for school supplies, $86 for volleyball, about $20 for new volleyball shorts, $10 for socks, $20 for lunch money, about $100 for some new jeans. So maybe $250 for her?
Basically, I just get what they need and don't worry about the cost, because if they need it, they need it!

I spend about 250 dollars on my daughter. This includes 6 new outfits, shoes and school supplies. This also includes the first month of hot lunch.
Have a great day

I don't budget any of it. I just buy what they need and try to find as many good deals as possible.

I guess I need to think about this. I probably won't go school clothes shopping until a couple of weeks after school starts, though. I hate crowds.
