I was telling my husband about this and asked him if he would consider doing this. He laughed! He said we don't spend much extra money, and that we would probably only see less than 5 percent difference. I got to thinking about it, and he is right. We really don't spend much, but every little bit saved does help. If he isn't on board, there is no way I could do this. Oh well. . .

I can see how it works, though. Even when I use my debit card I tend to spend more than when I just use cash. Its like "oh well I know the money is in the account." and it catches up quickly! I am trying really hard to just use cash now. I still use my debit card to pay at the pump, but other than that, using cash seems to definitely keep me in line!!

I definitely know we could save $ doing this as we frequently use our debit card. Our prob is that we use it when we need to keep that $ for something else. Dh is terrible about this, but I'm guilty as well. This would be a great experiment.
