Anyone else have frugal fatigue?

I want to go out this afternoon, buy a new car, freshen up my wardrobe, and eat in a 5 star restaurant.

I could do a lot of damage in one day.

Yep, ME TOO@!! This month has been horrible financially. We pay our cc bill off every month and last month it was huge!!! We have the money in our savings but don't want to touch it. So, this month SUCKS!!! I am in a SPENDING MOOD but I'm on a dollar store budget!

I do too! Dh and I are going out w/ friends tonight. His cousin is in one of those "fight' club (think UFC) things and we're gonna have a drink or two. Nothing too extravagant.lol

Oh my goodness YES YES YES!! This month is SO hard because both DH and I have out-of-state trips and extras that need to come out. We won't feel relief until mid-October.. it's so depressing!

Wow ALL THE TIME. And its bad when I start feeling that way, I go out and run up my Kohl's bill and it takes me like 2 months to get it paid off.

when I get into those moods I try to go somewhere there are no stores. My next best thing is to go to Goodwill and go on a shopping spree.

I get like this often! When I do, I go ahead and go shopping! I don't actually go get a car or anything big like that......but I go and buy some new clothes, etc. Then when I go home, I feel great. I put those clothes in my closet (tags still on) and look at them for a couple days.....then the feelings pass and I realize that I don't NEED those clothes and I go take them back Not everyone can do this, but it works for me LOL It's a running joke in my family that I am the Queen of returns!
I also have heard someone else say that when they get in the shopping mood, they take 20.00 or so to the Dollar Tree and buy a bunch of "fun" stuff they don't really need. She gets home with 20 new items, but didn't do too much damage to the pocket book

Yes! Just last night I was giving my SIL ideas for my birthday and I realized that I was dying for a reason (excuse) to shop at Old Navy or Target. For clothes. For me. I need new clothes!

I am worn out from always denying myself things and thinking about the budget. I've been so focused on it, I really haven't spent money on myself other than food once or twice in a LONG time.

I certainly get burnt out--dh seems to get burnt out more often but I luckily I can stop him from giving in most of the time. When I just can not take it anymore we get take out pizza. It is my favorite thing in the world ( I think I could live on it) and the ones I make at home are great but not the same. The other thing I do is work on my Christmas list. This way I am spending so I feel like I am giving in but I am getting what I need to get done at the same time.

All the time, Honey! I live in Southern California, so I'm constantly surrounded. I like what fergy78 said and I have done this before. When the call of the mall is just so strong, I do some shopping for Christmas. And it actually helps our budget because we have the same amount of money in December as we do right now.
