I do. None of these other banks has really affected me ... of course in the overall scheme of things, I don't have that much with them -- but it still is mine!

We do not have any with AIG. We recently moved all investments from Merrill Lynch to Morgan Stanley (our advisor moved and we went with him).

There's an article on CNN about this. Your money should be protected up to $400,000 by SPIC, except for a couple of circumstances. I don't have the link offhand, but it was up on CNN Money yesterday, so you should be able to find it today if you go there.

This just came on the news and I thought I would pass it along.

I'm so glad I dropped them for my car insurance. They were horrible! They would always nickel and dime you, and they were horrible on claims. I'm sure their adjusters are even more nitpickly and slow to pay now.

OMG..I just remembered that they are the one's who hold one of our life insurance policies. Of course, there is no gray area there, you're either dead or you're not. But having to switch it would raise the rates, because it's based on your age at the time of enrolling. And they would pay soooo slowly.

They had their hands into everything. I hope there will be more oversight on them. Of course, their downfall, from what I read, is like the others': Subprime mortgages.
