DH and I have money pulled out for his 401K and my rothIRA. Additionally, we give ourselves allowances for each of his paydays and the rest goes into checking. He has two jobs so he gets paid every week and the paychecks alternate weeks. One of his paychecks and all of my paychecks go directly into savings.

I voted no, but DH does have money put into 401k and stock automatically. I didn't count that. We are just getting into the habit of saving every pay period.

Yes however we should give ourself a raise. We need to save at least another $25 a week to be at 10% savings.

No we don't, but we will be soon. Before I got my raise this spring we were barely scraping by. Now we're covering all our expenses, and now that FI has a job (and he's already been promoted after being there for 3 weeks) we can actually start putting some money aside for savings. We should have at least $600-$800 a month left after everything, so we're going to put that away for a down payment for a car, plus all those little fees that come up when buying a car. Maybe we'll actually start saving for our wedding.

We pay ourselves first with regard to retirement because we have 10% taken out of my husband's paycheck, however, for our emergency money and/or regular savings at the bank, I wait until what's left at the end of the month.

We do sort of. We have a certain amount go into a savings account (that we don't touch) and a certain amount go into our holiday club. But to give each of us spending $$ nope. I know we need to change our way of thinking though.
