The way i see it is most democrats are going to blame the Bush, and most republicans are going to blame Clinton. Unfortunately its anyones fault, I mean really cant we blame the people who got the credit while knowing they may not be able to pay it back. Or even blame congress for allowing this and not fixing it when they had the opportunities. There is no one person to blame and there shouldnt be just one person who has to deal with the aftermath either.

I agree. I think people were just answering the question that was originally asked "Is BUSH the reason of our economic woes"? I think the way the question was worded encouraged blame. But I do agree with you that there's fault on many parts and will take working together from both parties to fix it.

Oh sure, blame the person who tries to explain why we're even discussing blame in the who's to blame thread and tries to nicely say there's enough blame to go around. So don't blame me!!

are responsible for the financial mess. The GOP administration could have vetoed the Democrats, they don't have a veto proof majority. Furthermore, I'd add that the deregulation that occured with a Democratic President and a GOP majority is where this all first started. I am soooooooo tired of hearing each side try to blame the other. Both parties suck and judging by what I have seen neither one of the candidates is ready to be thoroughly honest with the American people.

No, I agree. It was a bunch of different people that we could assign blame. I read a quote the other day from Warren Buffet, and he said something about he would let the historians in the future assign blame. Right now he was focused on correcting the problem. And that probably is the correct attitude to take.

I was just very interested by my friend's response in an email to me.

I think I get blamed ENOUGH around here already!! I've even got people PMing me asking why I'm getting ganged up on!! So no...go pick on somebody else. Can't be calimari though. She & I have been playing nicely lately and getting along. So Lord only knows we need to protect THAT tenuous relationship.

(I apologize profusely if this is off topic).
