There are a few bills that I have to write checks for. Other than that I always use my debit card. I balance everything online each day so I don't forget to write anything down.

The only time i write out checks is forthe kids schools or if I'm paying someone for something. I write maybe 5 checks a year. I'm a debit card girl, but I do come home and write my purchase in ASAP...I am pretty obsesssive about that (Surprise!) )

I am an avid debit card user. I get annoyed when I am standing behind somebody and it takes them forever to fill out a check, then the cashier has to see the id and write down phone numbers etc etc. LOL I think eventually most places won't take checks, and if they do it will be electronic checks like at Walmart where the funds come out immediately. I don't have a problem remembering to write down my purchases, I do it on a daily basis and I check my account online about 3x a week. The only time I write a check is for my rent on the 1st of each month and my electric bill, which they started offering online bill pay and I will be signing up for that. I can't remember the last time I bought a box of checks.

We actually use both, probably use the debit card more, but there are a few bills and then all school and church items we write checks out for.

I use both. We have a joint checking account and when I decided to get a debit card I only got one in my name. Dh rarely writes checks but when he does he is horrible about not writing them down so it throws my balance off and drives me nuts trying to figure out where that check went LOL. I knew better then to turn him loose with a debit card.

I write checks for certain bills, school items, and at certain stores here that don't take debit cards. I also write a check out for dh to cash at the little store here and get the gas for his work vehicle.

I have a special place in my wallet that I put all the debit card receipts when I am out and then as soon as I get home I write them in my check register and balance the checkbook.

I use my debit card for everything...and I don't have to write down purchases or anything...everything is tracked for me on my online bank account...so I can go home and see every store that I spent $$$, and the exact totals.
