Has anyone ever tried the Ariel (sp?) detergent? It's all written in spanish, it is super super cheap, $1.35 for 30 loads (if i'm reading it right, my spanish is not too good). I guess at that price, I should just buy it and try it. But, I don't want to ruin any clothes.

We had Ariel soap in the UK, I have seen it in stores and recognized the brand. It is pretty good, I would say the equivelant to Tide in the UK. So try it, tell us how it is.

I personally don't like it. I found it to be very cheap...........and it stained some of my clothes.

I tried it last night on some towels. They came out smelling really good. What do you mean, it stained some of your clothes? As well as I can decipher it says to dissolve it in your water b4 you add clothes. I can't do that b/c I have a front loader. Is that how your clothes were stained? Did it get directly on your clothes? Now, I'm a little scared to use it.

I have a friend who only uses Ariel. She said she smelled it one day walking past a laundrymat, went inside and asked what the smell was. I haven't seen it sold here though, oddly. Probably in Sedano's or El Presidente but I don't usually shop there.

I used it last night on a couple of colored clothes, and they came out smelling wonderful, and soft. I'm hooked!!! I'm going to look for it at our dollar store and see if they carry it, even if I have to buy it at the grocery store, it's still only 1.39.

Hi,

Ariel is one of the top 3 detergent brands in Ireland. The powder is used exactly the same way as your standard powder detergent (i.e. you put it straight in regardless of front or top loading machine).
Honestly it's one of the most expensive here and nowhere near the lower end of the market. 35 washes here is around 6 euro which is about $8 - although EVERYTHING is way more expensive here!!

Just thought I'd let you know..... all down to the power of advertising really
