How do you save the most...buying them used, ebay, renting them online or from a store?

We buy from ebay and used video stores. We have gotten some great deals. Toys R Us has great deals and we have gotten some there too. Our Family video store sometimes sells their games and have great deals We do that too!

My dh works pt at a pawn shop. This is the only place where we get video games. Of course with him working there, he gets to pick them over.

We do a little of everything. Just keep your eyes open for deals. Also, renting them before buying is a good idea. There have been games my boys think they want and then they try them and find out they are not so fun.

I surfed the web and found swaptree.com The way they are supposed to work is you post the games you want to be rid of and a wishlist. You earn credits for the post and credit for the games you mail to others (at your expense). In turn you get items for free using your credits. And you clear out space in your room as a bonus.

Haven't done it yet but I know DH wants to do Gamefly - the netflix for video games - seems like most games DH likes are ones that once you go through it you are done or there are ones that DH isn't sure about but would like to try. I think it is a good idea considering how much they are to rent otherwise. DH doesn't always want to wait months for them to come down in price or be available used which if they are still recent is still expensive.

I keep an eye on the online "deals" forums, and online retailers.
