We don't because we have never been out of the country.

Hopefully it's not too bad for you and none of us have one, but maybe someday.

All of my friends in NY have this - it is called an enhanced drivers license. DH asked about it in MD and they don't offer it, so he had to get his passport recently, but the entire process only took about 2 weeks - we had heard there was a huge backlog so we expected longer.

I don't know. My birth state requires that I go get a notary saying I am who I am. I should have done this a long time ago before they had all of these rules put into affect.

No, the only other country I would consider visiting is Canada, but that is not going to happen right now with 6 kids and 4 dogs at home to worry about. So, no need for one here.

Yes I recently got a new one. My last one had expired 5 years ago.

Sorry to hear most have never been anywhere. I got my son and myself passports when I lived in Hawaii so we could spend our New Years in Sydney Australia. It was well worth the trip! We kept going back. So much to see and not enough time to see it all in.

Live on the east coast now and with economy slump they are collecting dust.... but one day...

I have one somewhere, but I couldn't tell you where if my life depended on it. It hasn't been used since I went to South America over twenty years ago.
