If you are looking for a specific book or movie but don't want to pay retail price call Half Price Books and put yourself down on a waiting list for that item.

I just got a call today that they are holding the first season of True Blood for me. (yes it's my little addiction). I've seen it for $60 in the stores, and I'll get it for $29. They will take it back if any of the dvd's don't work as well.

My little happy dance for the day.

I rented the first season loved it.

I usually put my name on the list at the library. If I know we want a book or a movie we plan ahead.

Try paperbackswap.com and swaptree.com. You post your books and a wish list. It is based on a credits system. You pay postage on books you ship to others but pay nothing on what comes your way, just use your credit. And not just books; DVDs, CDs and video games.
