In the past, I haven't been able to go because it has been just for employees. This year, they are gaving a meal at a local restaurant. Do you go with your dh if you can or do you stay at home?

Oh definately! It's a super fun event! Typically a catered black tie or black tie optional event...dinner, dancing etc We've always gone and we look forward to it every year.

They also do a 'kids party' one afternoon in December with crafts, food, gifts for the kids etc It's very popular.

Then collegues of Dh have holiday cocktail parties, sometimes inviting the entire office...so we go to a few of those too.

Dh has always worked for companies that are very family/spouse oriented.

I have always went and always have had a fun time.

I always went.

My dh's company doesn't have one and I probably wouldn't want to go anyways. He wouldn't want to either

Yes! It seems like the one night a year where we leave the kids. They have a fancy dinner and give away $1000s in prizes.

they have great food( free bar...free cab rides home for those who live in town) and a ton of prizes and a live band. if we book a hotel room( its in a hotel ballroom) through work we get 30% off the price of the room( we have stayed once overnight).

they have a food and wine party AT work the last working day before christmas but thats just for the office and plant staff.( dh does not drink wine so he is good to drive).

WE always go... most of the time his are for the family.

We always go and I always look forward to it! Good food, and dancing (one itme a year I get to go dancing with DH) and they give away prizes. They canncelled it this year

We only attended the office party one time. It was very nice but not really worth the drive for us. We live about an hour from his office.
