Im thinking what could we do for entertainment during the weekend, since we are in a 3 week spending freeze. So i figured, i might not be the only one in this situation...

What are some cheap/inexpensive ideas to have fun during these 3 weekends??
List you ideas

I think we are going to go to the park with my DH and my 2 DS (17mo and 3mo.)

Weather permitting, get outside!!! It is supposed to be 60degrees this weekend (for us --and has been around 10degrees) so we are heading outside to ride bikes and play ball! Other ideas:
go to the library, get a good book and some movies
board games
visit a family member you didn't get to see over the holidays
do a craft together
let the kids put on a fashion show for you (my daughter is planning hers!)
relax and enjoy being at home together, you don't have to do things, just play and have fun at home

Editted:
Sorry didn't realized you kiddos were so young. You can still do some of my ideas if you wanted

Parks not an option for us ~ to snowy. For us that leaves the mall (bad idea all together), the library (we were there today) or hittin' up some friends to come over.

We will probably do the last option and either watch movies (we have an extensive library that we own ~ hence the reason I am in this project ), play cards or games with the kids, or just hang out and chat. If we are lucky they will ask them to join us on the snowmobiles (theirs - not ours) and we can play around the yard.

Look for free local events. Where I live there are tons of free museums and family events scheduled monthly. Take a cooler or bag of snacks to prevent yourself from buying while your out.

Our weather is suppose to be in the 20's, so I do not know how much outside time we will get. All depends on if the wind is blowing. Last weekend we watched the kids' new movies that they got from Santa. This weekend??? We have not gone to the library in a very long time, so maybe we will do that. The boys got a bingo game so I think that we will play that this weekend too. I may break down and go to the $$ store for a cheap pack of cards since the boys love to play cards. For crafts, we dont have much for supplies here at the house to make much, but I bet we can find something. I will have to see what there is for movies on the tv and see if I need to record us something too.
Wait, I have to return some items to the store that I work at. So if I use that money to buy the cards with my employee discount than am I still ok with the whole spending freeze??? I do not have the receipts for the items so I know that their policy is to give the money back but put it on a store gift card. I have been wanting to get one started anyways, that is how I am going to save up for the beds for the older boys.

We recently went to a women's basketball game at Bradley University. We took 10 Girl Scouts and 2 leaders. It was $12 total to get in. The drinks and hot dogs were 50 cents each. I bet a family of 4 could have done this event for well under $10. We had a blast. I'm not sure how a baby and a toddler would enjoy an event like this, but those with older kids might look into their local colleges for the womens sporting events. Very cheap and loads of fun.

well sine I am planning on making lunch snacks, muffins and things. Maybe the kids could help me cook.
They love playdough so that will be at the top of the list.
Church
play with new toys from Santa with them
We'll have a movie night watching some movies we received as gifts and have popcorn
Legos is always a hit
Just try to stay home. The kids prefer it anyway. (we adults might be a mess if I don't have a schedule though)
