I don't know if anyone will be able to answer this question, but is there any way to get a discount on Hampton Inn hotels?

We are going on a week-long vacation and staying first in Branson, MO, then in Muskogee, OK, and finally in St. Louis. I am still investigating hotels in the Branson and St. Louis areas, but I do know that I want to stay at a Hampton Inn in Muskogee, OK. I've looked around and the price seems pretty firm there.

Does anyone know of a discount or way to get that price down at all? I called the hotel and they quoted the same internet rate.

Thanks!

Hi Oregano! My DH used to be in the Army, but has been out for several years now. That would have come in handy!

My children were running around wild so I finally just gave up my search and booked a lower-cost hotel instead! HA! But at least it is one less thing to worry about today.

Thank you for the suggestion!

Hi, a couple of ways that my family uses: Roomsaver.com - check out that site and also the Hilton Honors site - Hampton is a member. Try calling them toll free and ask for the best deals avail. Also, call directly to the motel you will be staying at- NOT the 800 number and usually late at night 10 pm or so when they aren't busy and ask them for the best rates. Just tell them that you'd like to stay there but feasibly cannot pay the stated online rate. Ask for a discounted room or if they can tell you where to get a coupon. Most folks are accomodating when asked. Hey, the worse he/she can say is nothing is avail. If so, try again in the morning with another employee... Best Wises and Safe Travel!

Hotels.com is great for booking at discounted rates. Hmmm... you're looking for Hampton Inn discounts only? If you're more adventurous and don't really care if it is a Hampton Inn or not, try the "name your price" option on priceline.com.
