Our movie rental place in our grocery store has 2 racks of kids movies FREE. You can rent 3 per week which is perfect for my kids, I have 3 girls. They get to each pick out their own movie and it is free for the week. See if any rental place in your town has something similar.

They aren't free here, but the whole "family" section is 99cents per rental (one week rental period). Plus, they frequently have specials where you get a gallery rental (an old release) for free, one allowed per day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with no purchase necessary. They also frequently have a special where you rent one get one free (the free one is from the gallery). As much as the deals are pretty good on renting, I really hate renting from the store b'c we are TERRIBLE about returning movies on time (which is why we LOVE netflix and use it so much).

I LOVE netflix. I was SOOO bad about returning movies even $0.99 turned into $10 or more! I saw at the grocery store, Publix, the other day they have $1.00 rentals for one day, not bad if you are at the store anyways, but again, NETFLIX is great!

Free movies sounds great! We have a Hollywood Video here and we do their MVP program. It costs $26 a month (which is cheaper than basic cable here) and you can get two movies at a time and there are no late fees. This worked out great for us when my husband broke his leg. I would go by the movie store everyday and get two new movies. It was also neat when we watched the LOST series. We were total junkies! We rented them, came home and watched the whole DVD and went back that afternoon and got the next one. We have really gotten our monies worth. If you are good about returning movies on time, you can pay a cheaper monthly fee; they start at $14.99 a month.
