Check out MouseSavers.com - Disney Discount Source - Disney World Discounts, Disneyland Discounts, Disney Cruise Discounts - we've found some good tips on there.

Also, if you have the Disney Visa Credit card, you can go to the Innoventions building in Epcot, and daily from 1:30-4:30 you can get a group picture taken with some of the characters for free. All you have to do is show your card. We did this 2 years ago, and it was with Mickey, Pluto, and I can't remember if it was with Donald or Goofy, but there was a third one there. We are planning on doing it again when we go in the near future.

Thanks for the heads up, I knew there was a good reason to save that card.

The meals at Disney are quite large. We often split one between 2 kids. Water (by the glass) is free throughout the park, you just have to go up to a stand and ask for a cup of water. Pack snacks. Some of our favorites are beef jerkey, nuts, fruit snacks, etc.

Be wary of those selling tickets for less. Most of them are scams or timeshares. I always get mine through Disney.

I am not sure when you are going but if you go during the Pirate and Princess Party, get tickets to that rather than tickets to the Magic Kingdom for the day. It is a lot of fun and there are vitually no lines for the rides. The cost is about 1/2 of a regular theme park ticket. I thing the actual party starts at 7 but believe you can enter at 4pm on the special ticket so you can get in a bit of daylight too.

Take advantage of free/low cost stuff going on there; campfires at Wilderness campground, Downtown Disney, The Boardwalk.

When you go to Epcot, be sure to go into Innovations. In one building you can build a plastic robot to take home for free. You can also send pictures to relatives and sometimes get free pics for yourself.

Go and check out www.disboards.com they have great ideas. I agree with the water except we ended up with sore stomachs and problems from the water at Disney. We ended up buying bottled water. Bring some with you if you can. Missy mom to 5

I don't like the taste of Orlando water, so we bring along those little drink packets to add to them (also work great for a change from bottled water). A few food "deals" in the parks:

- the turkey legs are huge and at about $6, easily feed two or three little kids (located in Tomorrowland and Liberty Square at the Magic Kingdom)
- at the main restaurant in Tomorrowland, you can get the double cheeseburger meal and ask for an extra bun (about 80 cents), then you end up with two sandwiches for the price of one
- I'll reiterate packing snacks - I usually pick up some princess fruit snacks or something like that so it even has the Disney theme
- If it's a long day, we usually arrive when the park opens, leave at lunch to eat back at the condo/ room, nap or swim and then return after dinner - this still gives you plenty of time at the park, saves on food and you're kids aren't as grumpy and worn out!

Have fun!!!!

Hey! We went to Disney last February and we saved big time!! We only spent about $1000for a whole week including driving down there! We went to one of those resorts where you sit through a presentation for about an hour and we got our tickets and hotel room for 3 days for under $200. Of course the rest of the time we stayrd with family and we only went to Disney 3 days, however you can purchase tickets for as long as you want at the discounted price. You are also NOT obligated to buy anything - you just forcefully say NO and they give you your tickets! It i great. We went to Summers Bay Resorts - not in the Disney compund butt only about 15 minutes away. The room sthat they give you is very basic, however, you get full use of all the ammentities of the resort and they are amazing!!These really do work - I know a lot of people are scepticle, however it really does work! Hope you have fun - We had a blast and loved every minute of it
