The sit downs are great if you want to fill your autograph books, we met most of the characters that way and it was relaxing. You have reservations so you plan your itenary around it which is completly doable.

yes, I do agree these are VERY NICE. we did the Pooh and friends one. we only planned for one. They told us it usually takes about 1 1/2 hrs to get all the autographs and pics. We probabbly were there that long but mostly becasue we were stuffing our faces.
I wish we would have done the Princess one but that was really it. This was our first trip and possible our only trip so we asked the kids which they would prefer, autographs or rides and taking chances on seeing characters. they prefered the rides and doing other things. They also liked the idea of hunting for characters.

my girls were tramatized by stitch and dinosaur ride so when we went on Buzz ride the case member swore to the girls is wasn't scary. they didn't believe her and they took half the ride to calm down and enjoy the ride. It was a fun ride.

They liked the rides in dinoland best. we also really liked aladins carpet (animal kingdom) which is the same as the dumbo ride but not as long a wait.
we also really liked Mickey's 3D movie, that I think is a must if u have younger kids. we also really liked the Peter Pan ride.
Most of the rides have a slow moving sidewalk b4 u get on the ride. that was a little hard for the 4 yr old to get her footing but they do get used to it after a couple rides. alot of times we just carried her onto the ride so we didn't have to worry about it.

We stayed at Coronado Springs last July, which is a moderate resort. If you NEED a fridge (my son has dietary restrictions), they are included in the cost of moderate resorts. At POP and All Stars, you must pay an additional fee for this service. I would also request a room near the bus stop if you are relying on Disney transportation.

The dining plan is WONDERFUL. I would highly suggest it. DH even got to eat at Le Cellier steakhouse in Epcot, where the meal would have cost upwards of $200 if not for the dining plan! Cinderella Castle is also on the plan! But make sure you call exactly 180 days before your trip to get a reservation!!

I just love Disney. I would go every year if I could afford it now that we live in PA. When we lived in FL we went all the time with our neighbors, they worked there. We went last June on the last day of school. There was 9 of us (6 adults, 3 kids) so we rented a house. We drove down so we had our vehicles. Anyways the house was only about 10 mins from Disney. The house was cheaper than 2 hotel rooms, and it was absolutely wonderful. We had 4 bedrooms and 3 baths. It also had a pool and hottub. This was great since we only planned two days at Disney. We had a great time with the pool. Nothing like eating breakfast outside by the pool. The pool was in the screened in lani. We didn't won't to leave the house and come home. We did our own cooking. There was a grocery store about 3 mins from the house. If we go back we would rent a house again no matter how many there were of us. It even had a garage and a washer and dryer, which ment we didn't have to pack as many clothes. I hope all who go this year have a great time.

This is what we would do in the future. For our first time ever we really wanted to stay on Disney Property more for the "magic" of it". Can I ask how u went about finding a house to rent?

We were going in October before I found out I was pregnant. I am so sad, I planned for 2 months, making our schedules for each day. Ugh. We were going all out since none of us had ever been. We were set to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge with a savannah view and bunk beds for the kids. We were going for 7 days and it was going to cost us (including everything/transportation/etc) around $5K. We've been saving for this trip for 2 years, then I found out we are having a baby in August so we are putting it off until 2010. If it wasn't our first time, we'd rent a condo or something, but for the first time if you can afford it-stay on site and take in the magic! There are tons of great websites and books on planning your trip, the disboards are GREAT!
