Hi, I Hope This Is In The Right Spot. I Would Like To Surprise Christian With A Poker Night! I Was Just Wondering If Anyone Has Any Advice Or Knows Any Great Craft Sites. I Have Searched Myself For Some Ideas But Haven't Found Anything That I Think He Would Really Say 'WoW!' About. I Already Made A Craft On How Everyone Will Enter The Room, And What Foods I Will Be Serving. Just Need Some Ideas On Great Decorations, Maybe Some Kind Of Raffle. I Do Not Want To Purchase Anything Except Food, Drinks, Plates, And Napkins. Yet, If Their Is A Great Craft I Will Purchase The Materials. Thank You In Advance! I Just Want Everyone To Have A Good Time!

ok I'm just guessing here, Christian is your DS? How old is he? That might give people a better idea of what type of a craft to suggest. My DS who is almost 13 loves to play Texas Hold'em. In fact for his bday he always has abt 3-4 friends over to spend the night and play poker until late into the night.
One thing we always tell his friends to bring is a pair of sunglasses, if you've ever watched them play on tv, a lot of them wear sun glasses and let me tell you it's hilarious watching a bunch of 11 or 12 yr olds sitting around w/ their sun glasses on acting soooo serious abt their game of poker.
You could possibly make some giant playing cards pretty easily for decorations. Serve Root Beer! I think a raffle or drawing of some sort would be great! I bet you could get some decks of cards pretty cheap at the dollar store and give those away as prizes...or is there some craft they could do out of a cheap deck of cards?? If you cut a slice or a small notch into a few places in the cards you can also build card houses with them, it's easier and less frustrating if you put two cuts into each long side of the cards so they kind of attach together...you could do a contest, split them up into two teams and see who could build the best card house.
Really cheap decorations would be to punch a hole at the ends of a bunch of cards and use yarn to tie one hole and then tie the next card on to make sort of like streamers or kinda like a garland with cards attached to them.

Sorry, I Should Of Been More Specific. Christian Is My Significant Other, I Do Not Have Any Children. I Was Just Looking For Some Cool Decorations I Can Make To Hang Up. That Is Why I Was Looking For Some Craft Sites. I Would Like To Hand-Make Them Instead Of Purchasing Them. I Love Your Ideas Though, Got Me Thinking. Thank You So Much!

Here are some decorations......Some of these you could possible make your self, like the gold horseshoe could be made from paper with yarn sewn through it. Or the same with the doorway decor. You could cut the shapes out of paper and hang them with fishing line or yarn.
Decorations that hang on a wall...: casinosupply.com

I'll keep looking for ya.
