Not sure how much this will help.... but you can check out the Orlando Welcome Center for savings on tickets, accommodations, rental cars, and much more. You can check out the site at Discount Disney Tickets - Walt Disney World Tickets - Florida Tickets or give them a call (407) 641-5436. They are super friendly and can answer almost any question you have about anything having to do with Orlando or any of the themeparks. They can also get discount tickets on these really cool themed dinner shows. What else... try and carpool as much as possible because gas is expensive... bring your own food into the parks, becasue meals there are NOT cheap.... You can go to maybe like Publix and get some snacks to hold you off. For souvenirs, there's a Wallmart right next to the Orlando Welcome Center (which is like 10 minutes from Disney), and they sell alot of Disney stuff at discounted prices (like a beach towel with princess' on it... would be nice for your daughter, they have alot more things though). Umm... I guess that's about it. Usually the tickets are pricey (which the Orlando Welcome Center can help with), food is pricey (but if you get the snacks and food from a grocery store like Publix then you should be find), and souvenirs are pricey (but the Wallmart or dollar store, like others suggested will help you out alot). Alright girl! Hope you have a fun, safe, and budget friendly trip!!!!!!

Hi! I live in Kissimmee (which is just down the road from the Mouse). Here are a couple of tips from a "local" (sorry it's so long--just want to help):

1. There are some FABULOUS outlets close to the theme parks. Most of them have "Character Outlet" stores which include the "Walt Disney World" trademarked merchandise at clearance prices. There will be great souveniers which can't be purchased back home...including the trading pins.

2. Speaking of trading pins...Most of the cast (which is any Disney employee) will be wearing lanyards with pins. Some of them will give out "Year of a Million Dreams" pins for FREE! These can be traded, just like any other pin. If your child sees a pin on an employee, and she likes it better than the one she has...the cast member MUST trade...regardless of the value of the original pin. It's fun to see what kind of pins you end up with at the end of the day. This is an amazing freebie!

3. Some of the buffet-style restaurants (Like the Crystal Palace in the MK) will allow you to purchase a "to go" meal. You get a styro-foam container and one trip to the buffet. We could feed all 4 of us on one trip. Plus, Disney food may be expensive, but it is very good!

4. Little ones love getting autographs from the characters. Make sure they bring their own little notebooks & pens, though, because they are very expensive at the park. Or, if you want this as a souvenier, you can get cute Disney character ones for a buck at the WalMart on highway 192 in Kissimmee--again close to the parks.

5. Don't buy water! Ask for a cup of water. All of the restaurants give it for free.

6. My favorite kids' souveniers are at Downtown Disney (which is free to get into). The "Once Upon A Toy Story" store has exclusive Mr. PotatoHead & My Little Pony sets. For about 19.00, you get all of the pieces you can squeeze into the carry box. Ask a cast member for help--they'll be happy to help you squeeze as many in as possible. They are CUTE!!! and a great Christmas present to remind the kiddos of their trip (after all, they're getting some cheap items at the outlet for right now, right?). Trust me...these are favorite play items for kids who visit our home, because they are totally different than what they can get anywhere else.

7. Subscribe to MouseSavers.com newsletter. It will give some tips, plus alert you of any special events in the parks or any rides which are scheduled for maintenance.

Even living here, I still love the magic of DisneyWorld. Have fun!

We just got back from Disney World 3 weeks ago and it was FABULOUS!! Here's a couple of tips we used to save money:

1. MouseSavers.com - Disney Discount Source - Disney World Discounts, Disneyland Discounts, Disney Cruise Discounts This website has the absolute best tips out there. If you sign up for the newsletter you get discounted tickets. I bought a 4 day park hopper and got 2 extra days for free. It was a deal!

2. Parking at all of the Disney parks is $11.00 per day. One way around this is to either stay on Disney property or park at Downtown Disney and take the shuttles over to the parks.

3. Take in your own snacks and drinks. We took bottles of water and the Koolaid singles. It was so much cheaper than buying food at Disney.

4. Get one meal and split it with your daughter. Just pick something that you'll both like. The portions at Disney are insane and it only took me ordering 2 kids meals at one meal to decide that my children could split just one.

5. There's an outlet in Orlando called International Outlets by Prime Outlets. They have a Disney Warehouse store and we got the best deals here. They had shirts for $5, Disney World coloring books for $1.99, and the deals went on and on.

6. I got the book "Birnbaums Guide to Disney" for my birthday and it was sooooooooo helpful! I highly recommend it and you can purchase it on Ebay or all of the book stores. I carried it with me at Disney and it was really helpful!

7. Go to Walt Disney World Resort - Detecting Browser Properties . . . and make a customized park map. I did this ahead of time and it took about 2-3 to get it. I checked out all the rides and added the ones that I knew the kids would like and were tall enough to ride. You can pick only the rides and attractions you want to do for each park and they'll make you up a custom map and send it to you for free. It makes a really nice keepsake as well.

8. You can order the kids meals without the souvenier box and save $1.50 per meal. Or you can order a double cheeseburger with an extra bun for 80 cents and make two hamburger out of it. The little things like that will add up over a week long stay.

9. You absolutely MUST go to the Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom and get one of their cinnamon rolls! They are HUGE and I would make the 14 hour drive back to Disney World just for one of these!

Have a wonderful time! My kids had an absolute ball and we can't wait to go back!
