There are acouple hotels with water parks inside that are within 45 min-2 hours away from us. We all get to get away, the kids have fun at the water park, and breakfast is free.

We do that deemon does! We drive about 60 minute get a hotel where there is an indoor waterpark and relax. The kids have a blast swimming (we bought the kids their own life jackets last summer-huge money saver!) and they play for hours in the water and we take turns with the little one going in the kiddie pool and riding the inner tubes around the little river thing. Lots of fun. The kids always get worn out and barely make it thru dinner. We go on the off season so we can get the room for super cheap!
