I know, we have talked about this before, but I found a couple tips I hadn't thought of so I wanted to share....

My tips are: Walk as much as possible. Take unnecessary stuff out of your car (like the whole campground in the trunk, lol). Take your car in for regular maintenance's. Plan errands for one day or when you are already out and about.

What do you do to help stretch your gas tank?

Check to make sure your tires are properly inflated.

I have just started keeping track of my miles per gallon. This last tank of gas I was driving mostly highway miles and only going 60 instead of my usual 70. My mpg went from 25 to 29

I definitely plan my trips to do everything in one day. I live across the street from my work so that is a big savings. Our town is small enough that DS and I can ride our bikes anywhere this summer.

This may sound quirky, but I heard that UPS makes its drivers turn right instead of left when they plan their routes. That's interesting...I almost wish I drove more so I could figure out if it would work for me, LOL.

I also read that about UPS! Very interesting and I can see the logic behind it.

Speaking of slowing down, DH's co-worker started driving 55 mph versus 65 mph. He also has increased his gas mileage 4 mpg!!

I make sure my tyres are always pumped up and drive as little as possible, this also has health benefits of course!

Ive heard driving the speed limmit will increase gas milage. I also read something about trying to break less, like when your turn is coming to slow down naturally without having to break. I havent tried that one lol.
Ive just been trying to go out less lately to save some money.

Has anyone tried to use a fuel reformulator to save money on gas? One of the websites that I go to check gas prices at the local gas stations had an advertisement for Ethos FR. It claims to give you better gas mileage. Since we are all trying to save money on gas, I was wondering if anyone had tried Ethos FR or another fuel reformulator in their car to give them better gas mileage.
