The charge is no longer in pending but that is a great tip! I had no idea that the processing companies added that type of charge but it's great to know that for the future. I spoke with the manager (owner not there) and she was extremely nice and is going to handle the problem. She has to look back through the papers and receipts to find ours and assured me she will call me back today after lunch time. I did try to contact Regions bank before the restaurant opened this morning and they told me that we could file a claim for the charge if it was not handled to our satisfaction by the restaurant.

Then, when the actual charge comes through, it's for the charge on the slip. For whatever reason, we also put cash down for a tip or perhaps put in a smaller tip, and I noticed the next day the pending charge was for higher. I complained to the manager about it and was explained that it was a corporate, computer - generated thing, and they couldn't adjust it. I wrote corporate and haven't noticed it done again there. However, I have since noticed it done elsewhere.
