One of my very close friends and I will be going to MOA in 3 months. Anyone have any advice on what to do/see (besides shopping) while we're there? We were thinking maybe dinner theater but that seemed a little expensive. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

Thanks!

You could walk up to see the waterfall - aaack! I can't think of what the name is..... Minnehaha? Is that it? I think that's right....Minnehaha Park is where it is I believe.

Botanical gardens....Usually with those you only have to pay for parking, and can stay there as long as you want. One of my favorite things to do anywhere.

The mall itself is actully mostly shopping and the amusement park these days (I live 10 min from the mall)

you can how ever go to the warehouse dist and the acme comedy club is fun
Acme Comedy Co. and Sticks Restaurant Web site
tho you will need to take a cab there.

At Mall of America: Little ones like LegoLand (it's free). Check their website for events. Sometimes there are free shows in the Rotunda and on Tuesdays they sometimes have a character (like Clifford, Caillou, Barney) come and entertain little ones. My favorite restaurant at MOA is Tucci Bennuch. It's moderately priced but you could probably share an entree and dessert with your friend. Across the street there is an Ikea store. Their cafeteria is reasonable and very good (it's really fun to look around, too). The light rail station is right there, so if you wanted to take it downtown there are more options.

Thanks for the suggestion! We are going to buy tickets there, as soon as they're available.

We're going without kids or husbands and we're going to enjoy ourselves. We're looking at going out for a nice dinner, with some nice wine, dessert, etc. Any suggestions?
