I originally posted this in the Household Money Saving Tips sub-forum, but it probably belongs more with Family Money Saving Tips...

I have heard for the past few years on my local radio station about this company, GreatRazors.com - Worlds Longest Lasting Razors You Can Buy - Guaranteed that sells major brand razor cartridges which have been cryogenically frozen. They claim this strengthens the metal blades and makes them last as much as 4 times longer and save up to 60% on your razor purchases. The cartridges cost a bit more (but I don't think a ton more!), but if they last 4 times longer, you're saving more.

I finally broke down because my own razors are so darn expensive, tried it and am satisfied. They do seem to last longer.

I'm curious if anyone else out there has purchased razor cartridges from GreatRazors and what your thoughts are.....

After all the rebates on razors at Rite Aid, CVS and Walgreens, I find I have too many razors at home (and I have 2 daughters who shave their legs as well). So, I also suggest that you keep your eye out for when these deals are available. I have so many stacked in my closet, I was thinking of selling them.

Another idea...

My husband heard that if you put razor blades in alcohol, that makes them last longer. The reason why they don't last long is because of the moisture. We haven't tried it yet, but a male friend says that one razor blade can last for 6 months if you do this.

I was searching the internet for Greatrazor-related information. I don't know I was looking for reviews or what (I already know the website). Anyway, I have used their blades before and find it amazing that they last so long. Anyway, in the process of searching, I found your post!

By the way, I am a guy, but thought I would post this because I really like using the the razors myself.
