Packing food and drinks, and a chair, and taking the kids to the beach with their wetsuits, boogie boards, and shovels. They stay entertained for hours, and I get in a little bit of reading (when I'm not assisting with the sand 'construction project'.)

I'd say our bounce house we recently bought. My son loves it when his cousins get in it and jump with him. (He's almost 2) After my brother's employee discount, giftcard, credit card miles and parenting privileges cash back we were able to get it for $20!

The 5 of us took our first family bike ride last week on the local bike trails. We rode for 6 miles, had some Dairy Queen at the conveniently placed DQ right off the trail, and rode the 6 miles back. It was a great inaugural ride and remarkably there were no complaints of being tired! They have not stopped talking about it and can't wait to do it again.

We have also been going to our local pool. I bought a pool pass last winter for 15% off so we only need to go a couple of more times before it begins to pay for itself. Since we always see at least one classmate from one of the kids' classes it is always a great and cheap way to spend the afternoon. Water and playdate all in one.

Lemonade stand!

I swear she is out there every chance she gets. Other kids (ones that live on a busier street) have tried to start their own but DD gets points for shear persistence. I had her start a sign-up sheet to sell the eggs that my friend has. I'm also thinking of going through DD's old DVDs and having her sell those.

Taking DS to McDonalds that has the indoor playland was a lot of fun for him. He also likes to go to Bass Pro Shops and look at the fish & turtles that they have there. Going for nightly walks around the neighborhood and playing red light, green light is a good time. He also gets so much out of his little sand box that I can't imagine not having it.

The boys had a lot of fun making Jiffy Pop (2 pk for $2.50) and watching movies (free rentals for report card A's at Family Video).

I would have to say it's what we are doing this afternoon. The girls and I have been cutting things out of the newspaper and making up stories. We've even videotaped some of them. It's been great fun and they are really using their imaginations!
