We have baby robins in a nest in the backyard. My girls were outside and made bird nests all on their own. They piled mowed grass, weeds from the garden, and twigs into a circle and shaped them like nests.

I made those as as kid. One of my favorite past times. My daughter makes them now as well ... only they are not bird's nests, they're dinosaur nests.
