Default Need oatmeal bath CHEAPER AND better than Aveeno?

If you child has skin issues that would be comforted by Aveeno, try this.

Take a knee high stocking,, *or cut a leg from pantyhose that you no longer wear* Use REGULAR oatmeal, NOT quick cooking; pour into stocking and tie off the top.

This makes a SUPER rich milky bath. You can also use it to 'wring/squeeze' the milk directly onto the child. Works like a charm ! I managed to get through 3 children with chicken pox with this *many years ago*

I have very sensitive skin and my mother did this as well. I've unfortunately had cause to use it with ds a time or two (and myself with poison ivy ) but it definitely works great!

On occasion we have taken old fashioned oatmeal and ground it up into a fine powder and put it directly into the tub (just sprinkled it). I worried it would clog the drain but it hasnt yet. The pantyhose idea is perfect.
