I try to take M every week when storytime is in session. She is too young for everything else.

I'd say we go at least every two weeks to get new books.

When story time is in session, every week. If not, we go periodically to check out books, movies, etc.

We go weekly and sometimes even twice a week (borrowing, returning or enjoying one of their activities). Our library rocks!

During the school year our library only does Story hour once a month. DS3 and I try and go to the library every week still. He picks out about 5-6 books and sometimes movies. Our library mainly has VHS movies to borrow and very few DVD. Small town library.

Yes, and have even been donating to the library system DVDs, tapes, books, and CDs that he's tired of.

Many people don't realise that libraries offer much more than books. They rent DVDs very cheaply. They also rent PlayStaion games. All of these you can keep for much longer, and rent for much cheaper than either purchasing them or borrowing from a video rental shop. Libraries also offer several out-of-school activities for children. These they do for free. Libraries can also be visited when you want to spend some quiet time with the kids. That's another two-hour entertainment you don't have to pay for.
