I find alot of great pants at garage sales for my younger 6 yr old son, my older 13 yr old is alittle more picky, this year I decided to spend $200, on both, at Burlington the clothes are on layaway until right before school starts, you have 30 days to pay off, but shopping for back to school clothes was a great treat for me when I was younger, it made going back to school a bit easier and funner wearing new "threads" so maybe I do it more for myself, but my older son now starting 8th grade needs new clothes for his rep and because he always frays the bottoms of his pants and his style changes often. If I can find deals at garage sales or clearance like t****s to layer then thats good too, but boys clothes are harder to find at garage sales than girls clothes. I'm finally having my baby girl at the end of this month, so shoppng for her will be funner than boys clothes.

I did some, because both my 4 & 5 year were in desperate need of clothes. I didht get them any summer clothes until about a month ago. Since than, they have got 2 pairs of jeans each. All the jeans they had were either high waters or the knees were blown out. I will probably get them some khaki carpenter like pants too. My preschooler goes to school 2 days a week and my kindergartener will go 4 days a week. I want to get them a few more pants so I am not washing those everyday. They have more than enough shirts and sweatshirts. Most of their clothes I get at Walmart, but only because I live 15 minutes from one. I have yet to get them clothes at JCPenny's-I want to get them in the Kids Advantage club. But I live a little over an hour from a mall.

My tip when buying pants. Find ones that have the built in belt in them. It is in the inside waist of them. I have found these at Walmart and Kohl's, I would assume the department stores would have them as well. They are so helpful with being able to get pants a little bigger so they will get some wear out of them. Plus than you dont have to have them wear a regular belt and worry about accidents because they cant get the belt off in time.
