I second all of the ideas already posted.

Check with your library to see if they are sponsoring any other activites-example our library is sponsoring a magic show for the kids next month.

Video stores-check and see if they have .99 video rentals for kids. Sure it is not the new releases, but it is still watching a new movie.

Anything to do with water is a winner-wading pool, water guns, etc.

Take the kids to any museum, park, etc that you have in your area.

Don't forget running through the sprinklers!! Get one of those sprinklers with the hoses that spray all over the place. I think there is one that is an octopus.

I was at Family Dollar just a bit ago, and saw a pack of punch balloons for $1. I remember having so much fun with those as a kid. So I bought it. There are 4 balloons in it, and I have 4 boys so it is perfect. They are having a blast!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure some of these will be repeats, but our favorites are:

playing in the back yard
bike rides
sidewalk chalk
freezing juice or kool aid into ice pops
helping with fixing meals
picnics (at a free park or in the back yard)
the sprinkler
watercolor painting
bubbles
having a playdate at the house
sandbox
library activities
arts/crafts (collages, especially)
playground hopping (different playground each day)
bake for neighbors
