I thought it was just me that gets excited about school supplies! I'm in good company then.
I have a huge Rubbermaid bin full of the basic school supplies (pens, pencils, notebooks, loose leaf, markers...etc..). I probably have enough supplies for the next 3 years. The only things they'll need are what the teachers want them to have specifically and I won't find that out until their 1st day. My dd's backpack is only a few months old, ds will need a new one.
My kids are going into 7th grade and they don't use crayons in school, sometimes they might color something at home. For the most part they use markers and colored pencils, and Roseart works well.
A store that I've been shopping at for school supplies for the past 2 years is Walgreens. That store has been my little secret. While everyone is packed into our Target and Walmart, I shop freely at Walgreens grabbing up all the bargains and using the coupons from the Sunday paper.
Shopping for back to school supplies and clothes for the kids is one of my favorite things to do. Not so I can send them back to school, but it's just so fun. Weird I know.
