Twice in the past couple weeks (at two different stores in two different states) I have used a manufacturers coupon and a Target coupon to purchase Gerber Graduates. In both cases the receipt showed that the manufacturers coupon had scanned, but when I added up the totals the coupon had not actually been taken off the total. I showed the receipt to the manager and she agreed the manufacturers coupon hadn't actually come off the total and gave me a refund. She said it is Target's policy that you can use a Target coupon and manufacturers coupon on the same item, but for some reason the computer was not subtracting the manufacturers coupon. Be sure to check the math on your receipts!

Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely watch for that.

I've only recently begun to scrutinize my reciepts. I wonder how much I have over paid for things in the past. It seems I am always catching things that ring up at the wrong price.

Thanks for the tip, I always check that the coupon scanned, but never the total to see if it actually came off

I was over charged $2.00 on an item last week. It took the coupon off, but overcharged on the original amount. Hmm....

It's so important to check your receipts in ALL stores!! Esp. grocery stores, which must change hundreds of prices a week--sometimes they miss something that should be on sale, but the full price rings up. Most stores have a "scanner guarantee", and if you take it to the customer service desk, you will usually get the item FREE! Check your local stores, but I know Kroger and Harris Teeter do that for sure. Now, if I catch an error as it's rung up, I don't say anything, because there, they'll just change it---I wait and go to customer service afterwards and get it free!!!
