Okay, so we are moving to Hawaii! However, that means I need to declutter fast. I am thinking of posting some things on Craigslist like our swingset and some vinyl trellis' we never used. Have you used Craigslist and do you have any tips? Thanks everyone in advance!

We've used Craigslist to both buy and sell things. We were able to sell our old truck in about a day. Make sure you post at least 1-2 pictures of what you are selling and be honest about the condition of your items. If someone comes to either pick it up or look at it and it isn't in the condition you listed, they will probably not be so happy about it. You can also use Freecycle.org to get rid of things, if you don't care about making any money from it.

We've bought many wonderful items from Craig's List, including a new bedroom set and a motorcycle. Definitely post pics of your items, and give thorough descriptions. Good luck!

I love Craigslist - I always list items on there that are too big to mess with shipping on ebay, but that I want to get a little more out of than at a garage sale.

I often meet the person at a neutral location like a Starbucks or CVS - it just makes me feel a little safer!

Ive bought and sold on Craigslist, and gotten free things as well from there. Best thing you can do is post pictures, as everyone has said. Give dimensions of things, that helps. You may want to make up a junk email to use for it - or be careful opening up some emails. Ive had some wackos respond to things and I just delete the email - once you respond to their email they now have your email.

Good luck and have fun with it.

Love craigslist, even though I've never sold anything or bought anything, I love to check out what things people give away for free and check out garage sales in my area, I will be checking out again to get any baby items I will need for my new baby girl due 8/28. I have a friend that is always getting free things including a great entertainment center recently, free! CAN'T BEAT FREE!
