I know I said that I don't back to school clothes shop, but I can't send my 14 yr old back naked!!! She has grown so much and is no longer the little girl she was! I told dh she needed new clothes and he said does she need them or want them. I told him she could wear her old tshirts, but they were awfully tight. He immediately told me to buy new ones At any rate, we went to Gordmans and bought 2 pairs of jeans, a pair of capris, and 4 shirts and spent $86:happy dance: Can't beat that! Then we got 3 more shirts at Areopastle for a total of $21. Now my baby girl is set to start high school in style (and more importantly, clothes that actually fit her!)

Great deals. Isn't it funny how dad's can be "convinced" of the need for new clothes.

Burlington is a great place for clothes, most of the pants for my younger son ranged from 7-10dollars, I bought him 7 bottoms, 4 shirts, my older son got 4 jeans, 5 tops, all this totalled less than 200, about $180, not bad, they are on layaway until school starts, makes spending that amount alot less painless when you can spread the money over 30 days. averages about 10 per item and they are name brand!

Hey I was at The Children's Place outlet last Saturday and ya know how they had their "Monster Sale," a couple months ago where all the summer stuff was $3.99? Well they don't have that deal on their website anymore, because everything is sold out. But if you go into the outlet stores...there are racks of clothing marked at $1.99!! Also, their fall stuff...like those cute sweaters and things...are now at the outlet....marked at half off!!! I was going to use a coupon code online and get 25% off my order. But when I went into the store..I was suprised to see almost everything I wanted to get my daughter...for less than if I bought it online. They prices were marked down...but then 50% off that! I got her jeans, sweaters, shirts, tons of stuff...for less than $10 a piece...in most cases...the shirts were less than $5! My baby is in 6-9 months right now. At the prices I found, I bought here 12 month stuff in fall/winter and spring/summer...just in case. I also bought spring/summer clothing in 18 month size..and next time they have a "Monster Sale" (which my bestfriends who works there told me would probably be in Jan/Feb.), I will buy fall/winter in 18 months.

I live in Pennsylvania where the weather goes back and forth from 65 degrees to 95 degrees within the same week while the seasons are changing...so I figured that I could shop for all seasons in each size and we would still get good use out of all of her clothing!

FYI, the outlet I went to was in Hershey, Pennsylvania...for those of you who live close-by. Plus, they really are overstocked on their summer stuff. My bestfriend who works there told me that they have a storage unit and they keep restocking their store with clearance items a couple times a week!

Oh yeah...and another thing I forgot that is great about "The Children's Place" (if you don't already know) is that they use the same dozen or so colors all the time....so you can mix and match their clothing rather than just buying "outfits."

I know it's been posted in other areas on the forum as well but Kmart is having an extra 50% of their clearance sale atm. I went in today and they have a large selection of baby, childrens and adult clothing still. (Well at least they did in Sarasota, FL).
