My son loves cottage cheese, so I'll send a tupperware container full and then some crackers for him to dip or spread the cottage cheese on. Cottage cheese has lots of protein so it works well for a main dish along with some sort of carbs. He also loves it when I roll up lunch meat (sometimes with cheese) and he will even eat it with raw spinach or lettuce rolled up with it. I can also get him to eat sliced cucumbers too, with or without ranch dressing. Things are more of hit when I make it look like a bunch of little snacks rather than a meal.

In my house, if I had a picky-tween she'd be packing her own lunch. Even my 5-yr old DD packs her own lunch (with a little help from me). I know when I was in high school the only thing I ate for lunch - for an entire year - was a pear and a diet Pepsi.

A couple of my ds favorites: a tortilla wrap with turkey, apple butter, and a slice american cheese it actually is very good. Also, he loves hot dogs so I wrapped ham around a stick of string cheese and put it in a hot dog bun. I agree with just using snack bags with alot of different things they like. Good luck
