Here it's $1.00 for breakfast, $1.80 for lunch, and I think its $.35 for a milk.

Don't know yet...my kids will be in a new school this year. Last year at our old school though, hot lunch was $1.80 and that included milk. I have to say that they did a really good job to offer healthy foods, there were no snack or soda machines etc

My kids have never had breakfast at school...no need for it. Luckily we have the time so I feed them at home before school.

I'm sorry the milk price is for an extra milk. It's included in the lunch price.

I let my daughter eat breakfast at school because she is hard to get up in the mornings and honestly for $1.00 a day i could never feed her the variety of breakfast foods she gets at school.I think it is $1.80 for lunch also.
Our school does this family account system when paying for breakfast & Lunches, i write the check out and it goes into one account to pay for both kids' hot lunch. Ds doesn't eat breakfast at school (he's a picky eater). What really annoys me is that the high school ds attends has a seperate lunch line called the Ala' Cart line, which is all junk food like pizza slices, cheeseburgers, nachos and chips, juices and gatorades.......and it USED to be a cash only line back when i was in high school but now anything purchased in that line is subtracted off your family account. For awhile last year i couldn't figure out why dd kept saying our account was low and was warned she couldn't eat hot lunch if i didn't send more money..........DS was eating earlier in the day than dd was and he was draining her portion of the lunch account on junk food off the ala cart line! I wish the school would change that system but they wont. This year he's been warned that i will put a block on the account if he goes over a budgeted amount.

Lunch for DS's new school is $3.00 for all grades. I sure as heck hope that includes the milk! I don't think they offer breakfast, but I would rather make sure he has a nutritious breakfast, rather than a muffin or something. I'll be sending his lunch to school most of the time.

Ours is $1.75, with milk. DD8 is lactose intolerant and will get a water instead. I know Gatorade is $1, I think water is too, but if she has it instead of milk, I am not sure what it is. An extra dollar or if they add the difference between milk and water. I do need to check this out! She only bought 2xs last year.

In fact she hardly even got ice cream so I got notice the account needed money, and asked for an itemized list and she never sent it to me! Now the teacher sends lunch cards down each morning (and her pic is on it) so maybe she had more ice cream than she told me about! And spent it. And ice cream is .75, and I only had bought a week's worth of lunch as I knew she wouldn't use it. I originally thought it was a mistake but it probably was spent of dessert, which was fine, she had my permission to have it!

For my Kindergartener Breakfast is $1.25 and Lunch is $1.90. It says extra milk is .30, so I am assuming that one milk is included in the meal. Right now my guy isnt interested in eating lunch at school. I am going to let him pick the day he wants a hot lunch or when he wants me to pack him a lunch.
They have what they call the Accu-Scan. Just a plastic card that you put money on so they can eat. I am glad they have that insread of having to handle cash all the time.

Update
My son has eaten a school lunch every day since school started. He loves it!! I started working in the food service area at the high school, so i see and eat the same food he does. It is honestly pretty good. It will cost $36/month for him to eat school lunch. I think it is reasonable, since i have a preschooler going to school two days a week and it will cost more than that i am sure to pack him a lunch. I figure it saves me bread, lunchmeat, etc too. I will continue to let him eat it as long as he wants too. I really like the idea of a hot lunch during winter.
