Baby Wipes

You Need:

1 Roll Bounty or Other Strong Paper Towels
2 c Water
1 T Baby Oil
1 T Baby Shampoo or Wash
1 T Baby Lotion
1 T Aloe Vera Gel
1 T Vinegar (to stop it from getting mold) You can also use a bit of Tea Tree Oil instead if you happen to have it.
1 Container to hold Wipes, some use Rubbermaid. I use a coffee can with a small X I cut in the top. If you use a Coffee Can you can decorate it but I don't recommend using a metal one since metal rusts. (Or maybe there's something you could use to coat the inside with so water wouldn't cause rust?)

1. Cut the paper towels in the center so you've got 2 half rolls using a sharp knife. Note: This might dull the blade if you do it consistently. I used a bread knife for mine since I have a sharpener for that set.
2. Boil the water and add all liquid ingredients to it. Let cool until you can safely touch it.
3. Place one half roll of towels, cut end down, in your storage container. Pour the water mixture over it. Let sit 5 min.
4. Flip your container and let sit 5 min longer to saturate the wipes. Then flip it back and pull out the cardboard roll in the center.
5. Congrats, you've made wipes.

On the Go Bib Holder: Take 2 Hair Clips and tie them together with a length of ribbon. When out and about you can clip them onto a napkin, paper towel, or bit of cloth for a last minute baby bib.

Baby Cream: I currently use 3.75 oz of petroleum jelly (a small containers worth) mixed with 2 T Powder (made with cornstarch, aloe, & vitamin e). This works well as a barrier/rash prevention. Once you get a rash I'd go for the Walmart/Target creamy rash ointment. You can use plain cornstarch if you have no baby powder. Some people add a t-T of Aloe Gel to this as well. Note: Petroleum Jelly is flammable so keep baby away from open flame. (Okay, it's your judgement call on this one.)

Ah, I just remembered. You can make Rice or Oatmeal Cereal from scratch as your babies first food. If anyone wants to know just drop me a line and I'll make a new topic for foods.

Hey! This is a great post! Welcome to the board. I think I'll give the baby wipe recipe a try, after I run out of the case I just bought.

Thanks!
