I have been back a few times and have had better experiences. One employee even let us in right as he was locking the door. I had my babe with and we were in a big rush. So now I think it's better in that aspect. However, still not thrilled with the produce or perishable items. Milk is cheaper but it also expires sooner. I buy the Cub brand now so it comes out to $3.35ish per gallon when I buy 2. I also buy my veggis there. I pretty much save Aldi for when I'm hosting a party or if I'm in a rush for food. I've had some bad experiences at Cub too. I paid extra for organic plain yogurt for my baby only to find it expired 2 days after purchase. I was so mad. It happened a few times with other yogurt too. I called and complained and the dairy manager wasn't even sorry. Finally the other day I bought some again, happy to see that the expiration was a month away- as it should be. Hopefully managers are starting to wise up.

Overall, I'm happy with Aldi's. If I want to buy a certain type of produce, I just inspect it carefully before I buy it. If it doesn't look good, I dont' buy it!

There is an Aldi's in Champlin which is north of the Cities. I've been there but have never bought anything. I was just scoping it out.

If you have a problem with an Aldi's product be sure to write them. I got burnt animal crackers once (years ago) and told them so. They refunded my purchase, gave me store coupons, and sent my a new box of animal crackers in the mail.

I go there from time to time. I will be visiting the store soon to buy 2-3 boxes of food to donate to my daughter's school's food drive.

So far, I have had no problems with Aldi's and saving $$$ on groceries. The one near us is actually starting to offer more items -- wonder if they are seeing a higher number of customers since groceries & gas rising and consumers are looking to save more $$. We can easily go through 2 gallons of milk here so I am always looking for the cheapest!

I have yet to make it to an Aldi's - I'm planning on going there when I can go by myself (ha ha - like that ever happens!). Thanks for mentioning taking your own bags/quarter for the cart. I've talked to a couple people about Aldi's and no one has mentioned that!
