I read this one, haven't tried it yet. In a spray bottle add a squirt of conditioner. Fill with water and shake to combine.

I started doing this... works pretty well. Just remember to give it a shake everytime you use it, just to keep things combined. A lot cheaper than buying a new bottle. I get like VO5 or Suave conditioner for under $1 and can get a LONG use out of it.

This is a great tip! I like the sauve kids detangler, and it lasts forever, but I'll try this when I run out

I hope this works! I'll try it just as soon as I finish this bottle.

I actually do this with the last little bit of the conditioner I have left in the bottle, I transfer it over. It works best with a higher end conditioner.

It works. That is what is in my daughter's old Johnson's hair detangler bottle. I just squirted a little bit of conditioner and filled it with water. Her hair is easy to comb/brush and it sure smells yummy. She doesn't know any difference at all. I should have thought to post that on here.

When my three daughters were little girls, my hairdresser and friend said that to prevent the tangles when combing out their hair to comb once I had conditioner in during their baths.

So, we would wash there hair and then put conditioner on, , then comb the hair, then rinse the conditioner out.

My girls all had fine long hair, I liked long hair on them and we did it till about grade 6 when they would start to go and get a styled cut.

Also, if you have daughters with long hair and are trimming it yourself at home have them stand in the bathtub when you trim it. Which works well when their hair is wet after a bath and you can rinse them off. Wet hair is easier to clean then dry and it is contained in the tub.

This is something I had heard from a friend a while back and have been doing it for some time now. It does work. My younger two kids are mixed and have a very kinky curl. The Suave seems to work just fine and it is super cheap. I heard the only down side is that it dries out their hair with long term use, but so far I have not encountered that as a problem. I recommend it.

What a great idea! Thank you so much for posting this. I will give it a try when we run out. I have a little boy but he has super curly hair and it gets awful ratty by the time morning comes around.
