What are your favorite fall fun and frugal activities for your children?

We love our pumpkin carving. We do it 2 days before halloween and the whole family has a blast. Each kid gets to design a pumpkin! (that is quite a pumpkin family at my house )

Raking leaves as a family is great fun too!!

1. Raking leaves and jumping in the piles is a big hit.
2. Going to the pumpkin farm. There is one that has a corn maze and other farm animals you can see and sometimes pet.
3. We have lots of nature trails to walk on---we love go hiking when the leaves change colors.

We find we are just outside more in general in the fall. Some of the other things we like to do in the fall are...

-Long walks collecting fall things...leaves, rocks, nuts, acorns, corncobs, dried flowers. DD has a big jar on the mantle in her room that she puts all her "treasures" in.

-Pumpkin carving.

-Raking leaves and jumping in.

-Feeding the geese traveling by on their way South.

-Sometimes we just sit out on the deck and look at the leaves.

-We also do a lot of baking in the fall. DD really likes to get involved and help.
