This thread gave me a great idea about saving money on holiday shopping. Every year before the holidays, my husband and I roll all the spare change that we've saved over the year and get the cash to buy gifts. A lot of the time the money either goes into the bank or our pockets and doesn't get spent entirely on gifts. This year I'm going to take all the change to a coinstar machine and instead of getting back the cash, I'm going to get gift cards to either give as gifts or to spend on gifts.
