I work part-time at a bakery. I do it for extra money...but mostly it's a fun way to get out of the house and practical too! But at $8 an hour, hiring a babysitter just isn't worth it! So another mom and I swap babysitting! She watches my daughter during one of my 6 hr shifts each week, and in turn I take her 3 year old son one morning a week. That way, she can get things done!

Another thing I also do...since most of my babysitters are adult and not teenagers...if they don't have children to swap babysitting...rather than pay them $20, I make dinner for them! I love to cook...and I figured I would save them time...since they are taking time to watch my baby....and people seem to really like that!
