This can be a combined family activity. It is for halloween bags or you can adjust fro other holidays such as Valentines, Christmas ect.
What you do is take a pillow case, I chose white because the colors show up in their true shade. I cut it in half for a regular size or you can use a travel size case. Then you can either put a drawstring in for the handles or ribbon, canvas handles, some strong material for the handles. Then you paint, stamp, stencil the design you want on there. It turns out very cute, and easy to make, plus the kids can help with the painting and designing.
Another plus is it is a good way to make resuseable bags, and helps you get rid of old pillowcases that are not needed. One regular size case will make 4 small size bags (about as big as party bags-another idea!) or two medium bags.

great idea. I think I will tweak the idea and make a cinch sack out of the pillow case. Just have to add loops for the drawstring. The kids can decorate with glow in the dark fabric paint for Halloween. The cinch will help them hold onto bag while running form house to house.
