I can't help you much with formula - other than we used Nestle Good Start which is cheaper than Enfamil and Similac (and there are coupons out there for it, too).
As for diapers - it seems like every kid is different with diapers. We had problems with poop up the back when our oldest (now 4 1/2) daughter used Pampers. Our second daughter, we always used Giant Eagle or Target brand. We could use generic on our 3rd which is a boy for the first year, but now we have to use Pampers on him because he leaks out of Giant Eagle and Luvs during the night. During the day, we haven't had any problems.

In my experience with 3 kids: I like Target brand the best and parents choice second. No leaks.white cloud was horrible and I dont like the material in Luvs, to jelly squisy when even a tiny bit wet. We also use the target brand forumula and the only difference I see is $10. lol

We have always used the Parent's Choice. We tried Pamper's but my kids always peed through those diapers. White Cloud is pretty good too.

Can someone tell me what the price difference is (if any) between Target brand diapers and Parent's Choice from Walmart diapers?

Those diapers are the only thing keeping me coming back to walmart and I'm pretty much done with the poor customer service I get there. But that's a whole different post.

I always buy generic diapers. Most recently I have been buying them at Sam's. If not, I buy Target, Wal-Mart (both white cloud and parent's choice), or Meijer. If you ask me, no diaper is perfect and I've accepted that there will be leaks.

I remember back in 2005, going on-line to Amazon.com and finding Huggies on sale. I mean really cheap, about 50% less than in-store price and free shipping. I think at one time I had 10 boxes, (can't remember the amount, probably 85 per box). I had a 1 year old and 10 month old.

As for formula, I received a lot of samples and when I did purchase, it was store brand. I did not stick with any one particular brand for any of my girls.

I have never used disposable diapers. I asked for ( and got! ) some wonderful cloth diapers for my shower. They are great..nothing like the old ones my mother used. They have velcro...and are even waterproof. My youngest is now 4 and I handed over a huge stack of well worn but still going strong diapers to a young pregnant friend of mine, and she will save thousands of dollars too!!

hi, I used white cloud and had no trouble for the infant sizes, then when she hit size 3 I used members mark which you can get at sams club. You can only buy it in the big box of course but they work great, don't leak and are cheaper than anything else I have found. Hope this helps!

Not sure where you live but i love albertsons brand diapers. They work just as well as pampers and are really soft. I also use luvs- the ones with the bear stretch tabs(the regular tabs do not fit well around a chubby baby.) With a coupon and at the dollar general in the next town, they cost about $4 for a jumbo pack. Not bad.. but it is a long trip so I do not go that often. Target brand leaked at night. I also nursed for the first 6 months then my son weaned himself while teething.. we use parents choice. My sons doctor said not to use the warehouse brands (SAMS, Costco, etc) they are not as gentle and can cause tummy issues. Powder formula is also cheaper per ounce than liquid.

Have you thought about cloth diapers... I may try that on the next baby.

I have always trusted Huggies. I use coupons and sales to get a good deal and then stock up. White Cloud works best on size 3 and up, for us anyway.

I started usinf parents choice from wal-mart when my DD was like 3 months old i will use any cheap brand i have only had a problem with them leaking when she needed to be moved up from size 3 to a 4. other than that the cheaper the better. and as well as parents choice formuls I used that when my milk dried up at 6 months. no problems out of that as well
