I used to use White Cloud and had no problem with them. With my youngest I've been using Parent's Choice diapers and they have been great for us. I also used the Parent's Choice formula and I thought it mixed up better than name brand. My daughter did great on it. Also my niece that is 3 months older than my daughter used the same formula and she did great too.

We use pampers and similac advance. We have used white cloud (someone made me a "diaper cake" for my shower made of the wc diapers). I found the white cloud to be "papery" if that makes sense. We chose to use similac because that is what was used at the hospital and also because in the beginning they sent the most coupons.
My SIL uses generic everything and has never had a problem. I guess you just have to try and see what works for you.

We have been using some White Cloud diapers since the pediatrician gave us some samples and they work very well. The Parents Choice I didn't like and Luvs didn't work for us either.

We don't use generic formula but she has to have the enfamil AR lipil for babies who spit up. The others give her really bad gas and she spits up tons.

I have tried White Cloud & Luvs with my oldest daughter when our budget was tight and she broke out in a bad rash!! Huggies leaked for me too easily so I would buy a big box of Pampers and use a coupon they would last me about 1 month. With DD 2 i once forgot to pack enough diapers and had to borrow a few diapers from a friend it was a store brand dont remember which but by the end of the day she had developed a bright red rash all over her bottom After that I have only stuck with Pampers. Ive also in a rut have used generic wipes on DD 2 & DD 3 They are really sensitive to everything that touches their skin and can end up with bad rash reactions afterwards otherwise I would venture out and buy the generics. I have a few friends that swear by Target Brand and that they are better than Pampers but Im not risking it anymore Im getting rid of my 8mon old rash all over her body now from her overnight stay with my soon to be SIL she bathed her in the evening and the morning in a store brand body wash from the dollar store that was scented and then used some wipes she had becuase she said she didnt want to use all of our wipes She just did not know the extent of my DD allergic reactions which we should have specified and she feels terrible not all kids are like that though.

OH on Store Brand Formula, my DD 3 uses Good Start Soy exclusively we tried the alternative Sams Club brand and she spit that up and became constipated we didnt want to waste a WHOLE can and used it for almost a week before talking to our pediatrician who said Good Start breaks down the ingredients for babies to be able to digest them better. Thats again the only reason I have stuck with Brands for baby things. Try them out 1st if it doesnt work for you, you can always donate them to shelters

My dd is a heavy wetter and suprisingly ive had better luck using Kirkland signature diapers, than huggies (they leak too easily). The best IMO are pampers swaddlers/cruisers but if my budget is tight the closest best is kirkland signature.

also a note on generics i worked at BRU 3 years ago but 1 thing I remember being told by the manager about store brands is that many of them are made by the BIG Brand labels and sold under generic names more money for the companies I guess. I forget who made the BRU products I want to say it was Safety 1st but my memory gets foggy that far back Not all are equal or the same but there are some store brands that are... again it doesnt hurt to try it what works for you may not work for the next person vice versa

Just wanted to add...I was at CVS just now and the had a "trial size" of the CVS diapers. It was like 3 of them for around $1.49. That could be a good way to check them out.
