I didn't get to go to a yard sale but we go to this "flea market" on the 1st Sat every other month. It is to benefit a local Women's Rehab Center and it is all donation only. I love that because I can set a fair price myself instead of having to pass up something great because the owners think its made of gold! I found a bunch of craft supplies and a few books this time. What deals have you guys found this weekend?

I'm waiting for some to be on my side of town. There was one that I was interested in but it was not worth the price in gas to drive over there. My luck I would have gone and found nothing.

Not yet but I plan on kicking off my yard sale season with the big "upscale" community yard sale which should be this month!

My birthday was this past saturday so for my present DH watched the boys while I got out with a friend to the garage sales. My oldest ds had a soccer game till 1 so we had plenty of time.

We knew of at least 8 garage sales in our little suburb. Then at least 3 more in the next town down. Plus a city-wide sale a little further out. We were SO excited. It was such a dud! My friends neighborhood was probably the best, but since we knew there was SO much more to go to we went through it pretty quick to get to the others. We didn't think we'd get past the 8 up here, but did and ended up making all the way to the city-wide... The whole day was pretty dissapointing.

I did end up getting a Lucky Ducks game for my boys (.50)
I got 3 barbies in the original boxes for my friends daughter for her birthday in 2 months ($10)
and a Video Now Jr. for my ds2. My friend says she has a TON of videos we can borrow till her next kid (she's not even pregnant yet) is ready for them ($3)

So I didn't spend much, didn't get much, but still had fun!!!

I went to a huge yard sale here last month at the college's Arena. It was worth it...last year it sucked. They started their sales early this year which kinda made me mad but I did find some things this year. They call it a flea market..last year it was called the huge yard sale. I got some great Coca Cola items, some cookbooks, some Cd's and dvd's, and etc. So much fun...I don't get to go to many yard sales like my mother does. Mabeye we should have a yard sale resale/barter site on here if people don't know what to do with their excess stuff!!!

I would love to, but I have too much stuff. I am clearing it out and sending it to the thrift stor my church has which benefits the homless and their soup kitchen.

Our community had a community yard sale once a year and we move here two weeks too late to join in.
