Check and see if your local fire station does a daycamp or bike rodeo activity during the summer. I've been told the one here is fun. At the daycamp the kids learn fire safety, shoot the big hose, and try on the equipment. At the bike rodeos they do safety checks, helmet checks and the kids ride through courses set up. The bike rodeo is free and the daycamp isn't that much.

We have a summer program that is for a couple of days but they learn so much. They also feed them and give them lots of stuff.
