Kids can earn a free book by reading 8 books between now and September. They fill out a reading journal and then select one of the books from the approved list to get their free book. Here are more details:

I thought last year your child could turn in a total of 2 sheets and get 2 free books, but I think this year they are limiting it to 1. Still a great deal no matter what.

Is this something that you have to go into one of their stores to sign up for?

No, you can print the things you need from the link. You can go to the store and pick them up as well if you want, but you don't have to.

Do you have to turn in the activity pages as well, to get the free book? Or just the reading log?

DS is moaning and groaning about having to do the pages. He did SO many book reports for school this past year, I think it kind of burnt him out.

I am proud of him though. I printed this off a little less than a week ago and he has already read enough books to turn it in! woo hoo

We picked up our Journal in the store. There were no activity pages. The website (and Journal page) says to just turn in the journal.

I believe the activity pages are just a little extra for the kids to work on. I know one of my DDs really needs those!

WTG for your DS!! That's great he's read all 8 books so fast!

Yeah, we've done it before where is was a limit of 2 sheets and 2 books. I guess the program is very popular!

Still a good promo though...

Thanks! I saw that there were some activities that he would enjoy in that package, but I just was having trouble making it through the book report part . He'll be excited to know that he doesn't have to do it!
